Do you know what a mystery is? Would you like to be able to solve all mysteries all the time? If you answered yes or no to any of these questions, then you are at the right place, my friend!

READ ON!

To be a Sleuth, first you must know the Super Sleuth Truths, which is pretty much the Bible for mystery crackers everywhere. There are three Super Sleuth Truths, and they go as follows:

ask questions

Ask Questions

ASK QUESTIONS!!!

Any questions?

YES, there should ALWAYS be questions! The most important thing you can do as a "spy" (the universal name for mystery crackers) is what? That's right, ask questions!

Now, look at this picture!!

This wasn't just some easy-street bonus, by the way, it was a real test! Did you pass? Let's see!

If you studied this picture for a few seconds, then you noticed a boy (and you failed).

If you studied this picture for a minute or two, then you noticed that the boy is in the bathroom (and you also failed).

If you studied this picture for at least twenty minutes, then you noticed that the boy is taking the picture himself through the mirror (but you also failed).

But if you studied the picture for an hour, then you would have clearly seen that the boy was in fact my younger brother standing in the upstairs bathroom of my old house. He's upset because his friend Charlie has moved away and he's lonely. Also, you should have been able to tell that this picture is at least four years old, due to the picture quality (and you passed!).

Whenever you look at anything, ask yourself the essentials - WHO? WHAT? WHEN? WHERE? WHY? and HOW? (remember the Super Sleuth Truths?)
Did you learn your lesson? Would you like to try again? Good! Here's another picture!

What were some of the things you noticed? Did you notice that the boy with the curly hair on the right is none other than the same boy in the previous picture? No? Did you notice that there was a crazy pie-eating frenzy happening at the time of the picture? No? Did you see all seven people in the picture? NO!? I bet the only thing you noticed was that there was a guy taking a picture of this whole ordeal.

Would it help if you saw it from a different angle?

Hmmmm! Now everything seems to make a little more sense, yes?

It seems that the lesson learned here is that you should always try to see things from different angles for it to make sense. This can be summed up simply in the question, "What am I not seeing?"

So, a quick review of the things we've learned here in two words - ASK QUESTIONS!!!

Click here for the next test!
